Remembering God

You don't need to resist God and it's ok to remember who God truly is...

Whether aware of it or not, we are all searching, some yearning, for God. In these challenging times we can either get caught up with our human selves or, remember our divinity and, humbly begin to merge both, to meet the growing need for change with love vs. resistance. We are ready for a major course of correction.  It's time we realize who we truly are and remember we are each (and collectively) beautiful expressions of God.  I've been reading Richard Rohr's The Universal Christ and honestly, it's given God back to me; in a way I've never known. Rohr's spiritual teaching of God/Divine Love is healing resistance I certainly was aware of, though didn't realize how disconnected I had become because of my resistance to God.

Spirituality has always been important to me though, despite my sincere efforts to stay connected to my Christian roots, by the end of college I had rejected it entirely. Similar to many, what I was taught growing up was punitive and honestly made me feel guilty and shameful about my very existence. Furthermore, the idea that only those who practiced and believed a certain way would be saved, was much too limiting for the epansive love that flows through me. I have always been guided by love; many of us are! So many know that God would never create all of humankind to then decide only some will be loved and saved. There is no saving necessary there is only a gain of greater Love for: Self, God and Humankind.

If you are courious to learn more, I encourage you to read Richard's book. I would also encourage you to check out his center in New Mexico called: Center for Contemplation and Action

If you are curious to feel this Love and Knowing in your body, I would encourage you to receive Alignment Therapy. This is a bodywork designed to meet your whole Self, help you experience how truly beautiful you are and to remember you as a unique expression of God. "God loves you by becoming you." R.R.

Humbly yours,

Jolene
